Genesis 1, 17-20

And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold; And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD. And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name seth: And the days of Adam after he had begotten seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: And seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat Enos: And seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years, and begat sons and daughters: And all the days of seth were nine hundred and twelve years: and he died. A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it. I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. But Abram said unto Sarai, Behold, thy maid is in thy hand; do to her as it pleaseth thee. And when Sarai dealt hardly with her, she fled from her face. But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year. And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Abraham set seven ewe lambs of the flock by themselves. And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves? And there was set meat before him to eat: but he said, I will not eat, until I have told mine errand. And he said, Speak on. Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee: be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's sons bow down to thee: cursed be every one that curseth thee, and blessed be he that blesseth thee. And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it. And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it. And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God's house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee. And he set three days' journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban's flocks. And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink. And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban's cattle. Then Jacob rose up, and set his sons and his wives upon camels; So he fled with all that he had; and he rose up, and passed over the river, and set his face toward the mount Gilead. Whereas thou hast searched all my stuff, what hast thou found of all thy household stuff? set it here before my brethren and thy brethren, that they may judge betwixt us both. And Jacob took a stone, and set it up for a pillar. And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon. And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day. Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt. And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt. I will be surety for him; of my hand shalt thou require him: if I bring him not unto thee, and set him before thee, then let me bear the blame for ever: And he washed his face, and went out, and refrained himself, and said, set on bread. And they set on for him by himself, and for them by themselves, and for the Egyptians, which did eat with him, by themselves: because the Egyptians might not eat bread with the Hebrews; for that is an abomination unto the Egyptians. And thou saidst unto thy servants, Bring him down unto me, that I may set mine eyes upon him. And Joseph brought in Jacob his father, and set him before Pharaoh: and Jacob blessed Pharaoh. And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.
