Genesis 4, 4-11

And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house, and the LORD had given him rest round about from all his enemies; And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
