1 And Bezaleel made [ Lev_25:10.] the Arke of Shittim wood: two cubites and a halfe was the length of it, and a cubite and a halfe the breadth of it, and a cubite and a halfe the height of it.
2 And he ouerlaid it with pure gold within & without, and made a crowne of gold to it round about.

37. Objetos Litúrgicos.

El Arca (1-9).
1Besalel hizo el arca de madera de acacia, de dos codos y medio de largo, y uno y medio de ancho, y uno y medio de alto. 2La revistió de oro puro por dentro y por fuera e hizo en ella una moldura todo en derredor. 3Fundió para ella cuatro anillos de oro, poniéndolos a sus cuatro pies, dos a un lado y dos al otro. 4Hizo las barras de acacia, y las revistió de oro, 5y pasó las barras por los anillos de los lados para poder llevarla. 6Hizo el propiciatorio de oro puro, de dos codos y medio de largo y codo y medio de ancho; 7y los dos querubines de oro, de oro batido, haciendo un cuerpo con los dos extremos del propiciatorio; 8los dos querubines salían del propiciatorio mismo en sus dos extremos; 9tenían las alas desplegadas hacia lo alto y cubrían con ellas el propiciatorio, de cara el uno al otro, y con el rostro vuelto hacia el propiciatorio.

La descripción coincide en la forma y medidas con la que hemos visto proyectada ya anteriormente: un cofre de unos 1,25 metros de largo por 0,75 de alto y de ancho. Sobre ella, el opérculo o propiciatorio, y sobre éste dos querubines con dos alas extendidas uno contra otro, con el rostro vuelto hacia el propiciatorio. Eran como el escabel de la majestad divina invisible, que especialmente se hacía presente en el arca del testimonio. En Deu_10:3 dice Moisés que él hizo el arca de acacia, lo que no está en contradicción con lo que se dice aquí de que el constructor fue el artista Besalel, ya que éste trabajaba a las órdenes y según los diseños de Moisés.

La Mesa de los Panes de la Proposición (10-16).
10Hizo la mesa de madera de acacia, de dos codos y medio de largo, un codo de ancho y codo y medio de alto. 11La revistió de oro puro, e hizo la moldura todo en derredor. 12 Hizo el reborde de oro, de un codo de alto, y en él una moldura de oro, todo en derredor. 13 Fundió para la mesa cuatro anillos de oro y los puso a los cuatro pies de ella. 14 Los anillos estaban cerca del reborde, y servían para recibir las barras con que transportarla. 15 Hizo las barras de acacia y las revistió de oro; servían para llevar la mesa. 16 Hizo todos los utensilios de la mesa, sus platos, sus cazoletas, sus copas y sus tazas para las libaciones, todo de oro puro.

La mesa de los panes de la proposición es conforme a lo establecido en 25:23-30 de unos 1,25 metros de largo por unos 0,75 de alto y 0,50 de ancho. No faltaban las molduras de oro y los cuatro anillos de oro para colocar en ellos las barras traveseras que habían de transportarla.

El Candelabro (17-24).
17Hizo de oro puro el candelabro, con su pie y su tallo de oro batido; sus cálices, sus globos y sus lirios hacían un cuerpo con él. 18 De su tallo salían seis brazos, tres de un lado y tres de otro. 19 Tenía en el primer brazo tres cálices de flor de almendro figurando un botón que se abre, y otros tres de la misma forma en el segundo brazo, y lo mismo en todos los seis brazos que salían del candelabro. 20En el talle del candelabro había otros cuatro cálices de flor de almendro figurando un botón que se abre, 21el primero en el arranque de los dos primeros brazos, el segundo en el arranque de los dos últimos. 22 Los brazos y sus cálices hacían todos un cuerpo con el candelabro, y todo él era una sola masa de oro puro. 23Hizo siete lámparas con sus despabiladeras y su plato de oro, de oro puro todo. 24Se empleó para hacer el candelabro y sus utensilios un talento de oro puro.

El Altar de los Perfumes (25-29).
25Hizo el altar del timiama, de madera de acacia, de un codo de largo, un codo de ancho y dos codos de alto; sus cuernos hacían con él un solo cuerpo; 26le revistió de oro puro por encima, por los lados, todo en derredor y los cuernos, y le adornó con una moldura de oro puro todo en derredor. 27Por debajo de la moldura colocó los anillos de oro a los dos ángulos, dos en cada lado, para recibir las barras que servían para transportarlo. 28Hizo las barras de madera de acacia y las revistió de oro. 29Hizo también el óleo de la unción y el timiama según las reglas del arte de la perfumería.

El altar de los perfumes tenía un metro de altura por 0,50 de ancho y de largo, con los ángulos en forma de cuerno, como ya se indicó en el proyecto antes explicado1. Como en el arca y en la mesa de los panes de la proposición, no faltaban los anillos para llevar las barras traveseras o andas que debían transportarlo.
